Instead of using the established method of Faraday cages to protect the movement, Omega completely overhauled the design of the movement itself, building it from scratch out of non-ferrous materials that are unaffected by magnetic fields. In this way, the watch is resistant to fields of more than 15,000 gauss (1.5 tesla). It also features a striking aesthetic design with yellow highlights that complements the scientific achievement that it represents.
